American citizens who have more wealth don’t need to want to sacrifice a small percentage in order for less fortunate citizens to benefit from healthcare, legal services, and cost of living pay increases. American citizens who are wealthy should not be required by the government to meet this expectation, however, they should interact with their communities and people who are less fortunate than they are. This can include volunteering around their neighborhood and helping out at different functions in their town and possibly even donate money to help their community out. One value that every American citizen should have regardless of age, creed, color, religious affiliation or sex is the right to employment/a livelihood. Everyone should be able to be able to have a job in order to support themselves and their families. I also believe that everyone should have the right to own property. This could be a form of people supporting their families and making a living, so it should be a right everyone should have. Finally, another value I believe every American citizen should have is the right to speak freely without fear of retribution/persecution. Everyone should be given the right to fight for what they believe and to express those beliefs, even if many people disagree with them.
